The Royal Photographic Society’s International Photography Exhibition 161
The Royal Photographic Society’s International Photography Exhibition is the world’s longest running photographic exhibition having been held almost every year since 1854 – the year after The Society was founded. 7327 entries were submitted to the open-call from over 60 countries and 54 photographers were selected to exhibit. The exhibition presents 100 images and is the chance to see some incredible contemporary photography, covering a huge variety of subject matter and themes.
The exhibition was accompanied by a dynamic Learning Programme organised by Claire Halpin and will include talks, guided tours and a range of photography related workshops.
Most of these events were free. See the Learning Programme for full details.
The exhibition and tour was organised by the Royal Photographic Society, Bristol, and following the exhibition at Municipal Gallery, dlr Lexicon, it toured to Hull International Photo Festival 4-27 October 2019.
