Orange weather warning in place for Dublin Sunday 21st January

Storm Isha will cross over the country this Sunday and will be accompanied by strong winds and heavy periods of rainfall at times. There is an orange weather warning in place from 5pm Sunday 21/01/2024 to 06:00 Monday 22/01/2024 for Dublin & the DLR area.

Service Updates: 21.01.24

10pm: Tree down at Merville Road, Stillorgan  Please avoid the area. Crews will be on-site early in the morning once storm has passed and it is safe.

11am Ballyogan Recycling Centre is closed due to high winds 

Advice to the public:

  • Stay away from all coastal areas for the duration of the Met Éireann warnings
  • All road users should be aware of the potential for hazardous travelling conditions.
  • Motorists should slow down and be aware of the dangers of fallen trees and debris.
  • High sided vehicles, cyclists and motorcyclists are particularly vulnerable during this time.
  • It is critical that people never ever touch or approach fallen wires, stay safe and stay clear of fallen or damage electricity wires, and contact ESB Networks at 1800 372 999.  Use the PowerCheck App to check for reconnection times.
  • If you live in a rural part of DLR, please have your MPRN ready in the event you need to report a power outage to the ESB
  • Check transport websites for updates
  • Keep your mobile phones charged
