Driveyou Announces 9 New Locations in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown

To celebrate Car Share Day, Driveyou Limited in partnership with Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, has launched nine new locations across the County where a community car and van sharing service would integrate with the day-to-day needs of people in these areas.

Car and van sharing schemes aim to reduce vehicle ownership thus eliminating the cost of owning, insuring, and maintaining vehicles annually. The new Driveyou locations in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown are:

  1. The Hill, Stillorgan
  2. Salthill and Monkstown Train Station
  3. Blackrock Train Station
  4. Station Road, Glenageary
  5. Crofton Road, Dún Laoghaire
  6. Three Rock Road, Sandyford
  7. Furze Road, Sandyford
  8. Ardeevin Road, Dalkey
  9. O'Rourke Park, Sallynoggin.

 

 An Cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Cllr. Jim O’Leary commented:

“I am delighted to announce the arrival of Driveyou Limited to the County as the expansion of car and van share schemes offers residents more options and locations to choose from. Driveyou is now the fourth car sharing service operating in the County along with Hertz, Go Car, and Yuko.”

Jonathan Roche, Managing Director, Driveyou Limited said:

“We are thrilled to launch our service in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown and I would like to thank Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown County Council for giving us the opportunity to make live nine excellent locations including this one at The Hill, Stillorgan. We look forward to providing the local community with great customer experience through our car and van sharing app and providing users with 24/7 support through our phone and online helpdesk. The Driveyou fleet of shared vehicles has already covered over 1 million kilometres in shared journeys since April 2023. Whilst Driveyou continues to use low emission vehicles we are, where possible aiming to also add BEVs (Battery Electric Vehicles) to suitable locations in the coming months.”
