Cultural Integration & Inclusion in the Workplace

Cultural Integration & Inclusion in the Workplace

A participative seminar organised by dlr Integration Forum to discuss research, legislation, case studies and models of good practice in promoting Cultural Integration & Inclusion in the Workplace was launched today in County Hall, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. 

The seminar will take place in the Clayton Hotel in Leopardstown on Thursday 25th January between 13.30 and 16.30 and all are welcome to this free seminar to discuss and learn about the benefits and barriers to promoting Cultural Competency in the workplace. 

Councillor Denis O'Callaghan, Cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council said: 

“Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council are delighted to support dlr Integration Forum in their upcoming seminar which seeks to promote Cultural Integration & Inclusion in the Workplace. dlr Integration Forum continues to work with and support ethnic minority groups in the county. Their work is an integral part of developing diverse, inclusive and culturally rich communities in our locality”.

Frank Curran, Chief Executive of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council stated: 

“Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council's Social Inclusion Unit are very pleased to be working closely with dlr Integration Forum in their work to highlight the importance of Cultural Competency and Inclusion in the Workplace. Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council are excited to continue their support of dlr Integration Forum’s roll-out of events and programmes throughout 2024.”

Reji Jacob, Chairperson of dlr Integration Forum added: 

“For diversity practices to be successful, you also need to foster an inclusive work culture. dlr Integration Forum is encouraged to be organising a seminar that can support employers within Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown to build, and improve upon its inclusivity, equity and diversity programmes. This seminar is the first of a series of events in 2024 which will focus on various areas of Integration”.
