DLR Beaches and Coastal Protection have engaged MJS Civil Engineering to complete concrete repair works on the swim platform at Seapoint.

These works will include repair works on access steps 2 and access steps 3, and the front facing of the concrete swim platform in-between these access points.

The repairs will comprise shuttering and concrete pour to reinforce facing wall of swim platform, removal of aging concrete along the sides of both access steps, shuttering and pouring of concrete to reinforce side walls of access steps, concrete pouring to over slab access steps, installation of new handrails.

Works are expected to begin on Monday 4 November and take place for a duration of 6 weeks.

Timelines will be dependent on weather and access due to tides.

A pedestrian access route will be in place to direct bathers during this time. Access will be restricted during concrete pours for public safety.

These works aim to improve the existing concrete swim platform and extend the life of this facility for future use.
