In collaboration with Dundrum South Dublin Athletics, dlr are proposing to develop a Sports Campus on a site at Tibradden Road, Co. Dublin as a satellite amenity to Marlay Park. The project is phase 2 of a development plan, phase 1 having been completed early in 2023.   

The key aims and objectives of the phase 2 project are:

  1. Inclusive - Develop an inclusive facility with multiple sporting uses and flexibility to encourage use by all ages, genders, cultural background, abilities and disabilities and target those that may not be reached by sport only.  

  1. Performance & Development - Develop the facility in order for the clubs to expand in a sustainable manner, encourage sporting/active participation and improve performance and development.  

  1. Health & Well-Being - Develop a holistic, community-based wellness and activity complex to address physical, mental and social well-being.   

  1. Building - Develop a shared lean building that is fit for purpose yet maximises available space to an appropriate scale and form taking account of its location, proposed uses and available budget. 

  1. Operation - Develop the facility with multiple use and flexibility to encourage financial sustainability through the operation and management.  

  1. Partnership - Develop the facility in collaboration with future users in partnership with clubs, schools, community groups and outreach programmes.  

The public consultation period for these plans will run 26 July 2024 - 7 September 2024 inclusive. During this time, any individual or organisation can submit their observations using the following channels.
